Karen Weaver, M.D.
Dr. Weaver was born in Indianapolis, IN, and received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Indiana University and her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean. Prior to medical school she traveled to the Dominican Republic and Honduras providing medical aid and health care information. Dr. Weaver loves spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys working out, scuba diving, traveling, and learning new things.
Pallavi Reddy, M.D.
Dr. Reddy was born in Castries, Saint Lucia; and moved to Glasgow as a child with her family. She received her graduate degree from Spartan Health Sciences University, Saint Lucia. Dr. Reddy excelled in her studies and appeared consistently on her medical school Dean’s List. Pallavi actively participates in various children mentoring organizations as well as volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House. She worked as a clinical researcher in Vascular Surgery working on a research project on Raynaud’s Disease, which was presented to the International Society of Vascular Surgery in March 2012. Her hobbies include tennis, traveling and cooking. She is glad to be back in Glasgow and to serve the community.
Brook Helmer, M.D., M.H.A.
Dr. Helmer was born in Louisville, Kentucky. She received her undergraduate degrees from Indiana University Southeast in both Biology and Spanish. She participated in extensive research in both biology and medicine throughout her undergraduate and medical education. Dr. Helmer later received her medical degree with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude from American University of Antigua. In 2012, she received an MBA with a focus on Healthcare Administration. She has also greatly enjoyed volunteer work, creating social programs for inner city children through Parks and Recreation, and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Some of her hobbies include Shaolin Kung Fu, hiking, Spanish literature, and creative writing.
Burton Brooks, M.D.
Dr. Brooks, a native of Columbia, TN, received his medical degree from the University of Sint Eustatius. Prior to medical school, Dr. Brooks worked as a physician’s assistant in both emergency and correctional medicine. He attended undergraduate and graduate school at Bethel University in McKenzie, TN. Dr. Brooks enjoys working on his family’s farm where corn, soybeans, and cattle are raised. He also enjoys aviation, football, and traveling. Through his home church he has served on international medical missions to Central and South America.
